Les Gets

In the heart of the Portes du Soleil, Les Gets is like a small corner of paradise, which everyone would like to keep secret for himself.

This charming, traditional Savoyard village has been attractively expanded over the years, yet keeping its typical architecture, retains all of its charm. The village is well serviced with a good selection of restaurants, shops and bars as well as a cinema, 10-pin bowling and a couple of nightclubs. "Le Petit Train", the village toy town shuttle train is great fun for all the family.

Lying at 1172 meters, Les Gets is situated between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. An excellent family resort for winter and summer activities.

In summer you can play golf on the 18-hole course facing Mont Blanc, swim in the lake or attempt one of the World Champion bike paths.

In winter Les Gets is the perfect learning resort for the beginner or young children with a wide range of gentle green slopes. Intermediate skiers will be in heaven with an abundance of red and blue slopes cutting through the forests, and for the experts or more adventurous skier, the black runs from Mont Chery or steeper slopes of Avoriaz will provide a challenge.

Les Gets also offers interesting attractions such as the Mechanical Music Museum or a wonderful collection of Roger and Gallet automatons at the Automaton Exhibition. Its also an opportunity to experience daily production of Reblochon, Tomme, butter, yogurts and Abondance cheese at The Perrières Cheese Diary. Or, a visit to La Sarre Goat Farm.
